AmandaAmanda has worked in the dental field since 2005. She is our Office Coordinator. This means she keeps up with all the statistics of the office which enables us to continue to offer high quality dentistry for a reasonable investment. Amanda is also our internet liaison- sending and receiving all emails and sending all electronic claims to the insurance companies. Amanda makes everyone feel welcomed as she greets them at the front desk. Her organizational skills keep our office running smoothly and she is always busy trying to stay ahead of her job duties. She is married and has a son and new baby daughter that keep her multi-tasking skills sharp. |

AndraAndra started in dentistry in 1976 as a dental assistant. She became a Registered Dental Hygienist in 1981 after completing the hygiene preceptorship program at UAB. She enjoys her role as a Dental Hygienist and her caring personality makes her patients feel at ease when they are in our office. Andra is dedicated to treating gum diseases and educating her patients on how to achieve and maintain optimal oral health. Her dental assisting background helps her to address their restorative needs as well. She is married to theformer head football coach of Guntersville High School, who led the team to win the 2006 4-A state championship. They have 4 grown children. |

AprilApril started her dental career in 1989 as a dental assistant. Her husband was in the Navy and that took her to California where she continued with dental assisting. In 1999 she completed the preceptorship program at UAB to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. In 2001 she became a Certified Dentrix Dental software trainer, training other offices on the new technological advances in dentistry such as digital xrays and photos, cosmetic imaging, and voice activated software. April's software expertise is a huge asset for our office, since we use this software in our practice. She enjoys the restorative side of dentistry and decided to continue assisting as well as practicing hygiene as part of her daily duties in the dental office. April’s main role is assistant to Dr. Rutland, but her other skills are utilized most every day. April’s many skills, as well as her calm demeanor, are a valuable asset to our office. She is married and has 2 active children. Her son plays football and baseball for Southside High School and her daughter plays softball for Southside High School. |

AshleyAshley started her career in dentistry in 1996. She is our Financial Coordinator and Insurance Manager. Ashley enjoys helping our patients to find cost effective means for achieving the smile of their dreams or their necessary dental needs. She is extremely knowledgeable about dental insurance and will work hard for you to see that you receive your maximum benefits. Her cheerful and friendly personality enhances her skills and makes the patient feel like family. She is married with 2 very active children, a daughter that is a cheerleader and volleyball player at Guntersville Middle School and a son that plays baseball. |

CarenCaren started in dentistry as a dental assistant in 1992. In 2002 she completed the UAB preceptorship program and became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Caren has also maintained her assisting skills and is a multi-tasking employee. Caren's duties include assisting Dr. Rutland as well as practicing dental hygiene. She is our ZOOM® specialist and would love to give you a bright new smile. She is very attentive to her patients and always wears a smile herself. Caren is married and has a son and a daughter. |

LisaLisa has been in the dental field for 19 years. She has served roles as an orthodontic assistant, dental assistant, and Registered Dental Hygienist. Her current role is Patient Coordinator for our office. She is married and has 2 children in college and a dog named K.C.. She has a strong passion for dentistry and enjoys working with patients in all areas of the office as needed. |

SheilaSheila has been part of our team since 2004. She has an Associates degree in Dental Hygiene from Wallace State. She successfully completed the National Board Dental Hygiene Exam and the Southern Regional Exam to obtain her license in AL and TN as a Registered Dental Hygienist. Sheila started her career as a dental hygienist working with children in a pediatric office but soon discovered her knowledge of the periodontal condition would be best utilized in a general practice where she can treat patients of all ages. Whether she is teaching young children how to brush properly or treating and educating patients with periodontal problems, she is always giving 100% and the patients leave our office with the knowledge and ability to keep their teeth for a lifetime. She also serves as our office OSHA Coordinator and keeps the office updated with the most current OSHA guidelines to protect out staff and our patients. Sheila is married with 2 beautiful daughters. The oldest is an Accountant in Fort Payne, AL who is working on her MBA. The youngest is a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer working at a women's hosptial in Memphis, TN. |
