Many patients have had some experience with crowns that aren't very cosmetic or life-like. Today, we can use crowns and veneers that are of all porcelain and extremely life-like. These restorations transmit light just like tooth enamel and can be transparent on the edges just like natural teeth. Due to the advances in technology, bridges can also be constructed in all porcelain. In some cases, all porcelain crowns and bridges can not be used but there are also cosmetic porcelain to metal crowns and bridges. Special techniques at the dental labs using porcelain margins and stacking porcelain in various shades can create a very natural porcelain to metal restoration. We only use white gold for our porcelain to metal crowns for a very biocompatible environment for your gums and body.
